MIKE N. TARCAN, CISSP, CCE, CFCE, ACE
Mike Tarcan has eleven years of computer forensic and investigative experience, over five of which has been in higher education environments. Mr. Tarcan has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Land Development from Kennesaw State University in Atlanta. His professional activities include the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), The International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) and is the Security Chair of the Orlando Technology Group (OTG). Mr. Tarcan is also a former law enforcement officer in the state of Georgia. Mr. Tarcan is also a State of Georgia BAR and Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) approved instructor and has received digital forensics training from US CERT, and Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers in Glynco, GA and Quantico, VA.

With Ellucian, Mr. Tarcan is a member of the Global Information Security Team tasked with leading Security Threat Management of Ellucian products and security incidents. His primary responsibilities include security awareness education, incident response, digital forensic analysis, vulnerability tracking and remediation, product security defect management, and social engineering penetration.
